Weekly Collective Tarot Reading
The World Reversed · Ace of Wands · Eight of Wands
Maybe everything doesn’t have to feel completely finished before something new is allowed to begin.
This week’s cards are The World reversed, Ace of Wands and Eight of Wands. And when I looked at them together, I immediately thought about how often we expect endings and beginnings to happen in the right order.
First, we finish the old chapter. We understand what happened. We make peace with it. We get closure. And then, once everything feels neatly resolved, we move forward.
But I’m not sure life actually works like that.
Sometimes something new begins while part of us is still trying to understand what just ended.
The World usually carries this feeling of completion. Something has come full circle. But reversed, I think it can bring up those situations where something still feels unfinished.
Maybe you never got the conversation you wanted. Maybe something ended without a satisfying explanation. Maybe you’ve moved on in practical ways, but there’s still a part of you trying to make sense of it.
And I think we can easily turn that feeling into a reason to wait.
I’ll move forward when I understand this.
I’ll be ready when this doesn’t bother me anymore.
I’ll start again when I finally feel like I’ve completely let go.
But what if complete closure isn’t always available?
Then comes the Ace of Wands, and I really like it next to The World reversed.
Because something isn’t completely finished, and yet there’s already a spark.
A new idea. A new direction. Curiosity. Energy returning. Maybe even a part of you becoming interested in life beyond whatever you’ve been trying so hard to resolve.
I don’t think that means ignoring what happened or pretending you’re completely over something when you’re not.
It just means two things can be true at once.
You can still have unanswered questions and feel excited about something new.
You can miss something and still want something different.
You can have a part of your past that doesn’t make perfect sense and still build a future that does.
And then we have the Eight of Wands.
This card feels almost impatient next to The World reversed. There’s movement here. Things happening. Energy going somewhere instead of circling around the same place.
And maybe that’s the part of this reading I find most interesting.
Sometimes we think we need to feel ready before we move.
But sometimes moving is part of how we become ready.
Maybe you don’t get one perfect moment where the past finally clicks into place and you confidently announce that you’re done with it. Maybe one day you simply notice that your attention has started going somewhere else.
There’s something else you want to experience.
Something else you want to create.
Something else you’re curious about.
And maybe that counts as moving forward too.
I think closure can sometimes become another thing we search for because we believe there must be one final answer that will make everything feel okay.
Sometimes we get that answer.
Sometimes we don’t.
And maybe the more important question is whether you want an unfinished part of your past to decide when you’re allowed to begin again.
The World reversed doesn’t suddenly become complete because the Ace of Wands appears. The unfinished thing is still there.
But now there’s something else there too.
And maybe that’s enough.
✨ You don’t have to pretend the old chapter meant nothing.
You just don’t have to wait until every page makes sense before you start writing another one.
Maybe ask yourself:
What am I waiting to feel completely finished with before I allow myself to move forward?
And then:
What if I don’t need all the answers before I let myself become interested in what comes next?
Maybe moving forward isn’t always the moment you finally stop looking back.
Sometimes it’s simply the moment something ahead of you starts becoming more interesting.
